My son is looking at a Case model M400? forwarder.  The owner said here late husband converted it to a forwarder from a skidder, but it looks factory made. It has a detroit in it. any back ground info would be appreciated.  Are parts still avalible?  Thanks.

i worked for a case dealer back in the mid 70's seems like they made a skid king 800. i do recall one coming in with a detriot in it but it was old then. parts   good luck i wouldnt think you could buy any from case

Case had a couple good skidders and a couple bad ones. Quite a few parts can be had (much easier than a Massey ferguson)
You may check out but you will never leave

Not sure about parts for their skidders but parts for the older construction is just about non-existent. I had an older case dozer that I had to custom machine and fabricate numerous parts for as they were unavailable.

Any pics? Sounds like an interesting machine.
