Anyone know what rough saw air dried chinaberry lumber is worth?

    Thre's not much available around here, so no comparison sales. Depending on the quality, on the top end I'll agree with Dan , $3, lower quality, $2/bf.
   Mostly depends on how bad the customer wants it! ;D

I agree with $2.00 on the low end, but if you tell everyone that it is in the mahogany family (which it is), that might bring the price up to $3.00  :D.

I gave a piece to Dodgy Loner one time and said' "I bet that you don't know what this is", and he immediately said "chinaberry".  He said that every time someone says that they bet you cannot ID a piece of wood, it is invariably chinaberry  :D.  Hey, it works!

The two on the left and center are chinaberry. The other is pecan.

The first time I met my office mate in the wood technology lab at UGA, he pulled out a Chinaberry board and asked me to ID it. I was stumped that time, but when Danny tried to pull that one on me, I was ready. ;)
