I never thought in my life I would say that but the E2300 just doesn't work as well in 40+ degrees over the last 5 days.  Almost reached 50 here on Friday.  I hate the cold and always look forward to when spring is here but love to see that OWB running like a well oiled machine.  On the bright side, so far this winter I've saved a ton of good seasoned wood !

I know what your saying chief.Back east the temp is up and down, makes it hard to run an owb cleanly.Besides I'd like to do some ice fishing. Frank C.

Some places cold isn't cold because all the sudden a warm spell has made their yard mud. A mild spell here in the 40's wouldn't budge the frost unless it was a week long with bright sun. :D And we have had a very mild winter with maybe an inch of snow on the ground right now. Every time they announce a big storm we get rain sometime in the mix.

I would suggest smaller loads in your 2300, with high quality seasoned wood.  Visit a little more often.  When the time between fire-ups increases, it takes a little longer to get the coal bed up to temp and get gasification.  Don't worry, you'll be cold enough soon enough. :D

Ice fishing!!!! I miss it sooo much.It doesn't look promising this year. Some nice perch would be nICE right now.Even too muddy to do stuffin the woods. Looks like I'llget alot done in the shop this winter.

I really wish you guys would take some of our winter away. The temps are above normal at around -20. But I have really had it with snow. a little over 3' and we are only half way through our winter. But it sure beats the -40's/-50's we usually have this time of year. I've just run out of places to pile up snow.

Here in SW Pa. we are having wghat I call a "Tennessee" winter, mild occasional cold but VERY mild. I like it!!!!!

Fuzzy, God bless ya. Sound adventurous!! I slept in the back of my Subaru in the Adirondacks one night -20, BRRRRR. I slept most of the night but upon exhaling the condensation from my breath instantly froze and fell back on my face, sleeping bag (around the mummy opening), refreezing to a crust. Those were the "Good ole days", too old for that now.  ::) Here is picture of my buddy after a climb, your too busy with ropes and etc... to focus on much else, FUN pic. "Walrus man"
