Guys from woodmizer who hang over here.

Please tell your boss to stop the nonsense which is going on with the woodmizer europe site.

Woodmizer has enabled automatic redirection from the dot com site to the woodmizer europe site, and it's impossible to access the dot com, original us site for me. Even disabling meta redirection.

So i can't access the site to check for the prices or else.

And i realy don't like being told where i should go on the net, i want to access everything which is normaly accessable by another human being.

I beta lot of people are like me. And i tell you, that won't be prospective customers if you force them to go where they don't want to.

Gday

Hmm  :) :) Look I can understand where you are coming from ! as I am also a bloke who like to cruse the net and see what things cost in different countries theres a reason WM dose it which is to protect their Dealers and Reps from having their market eroded in some countries and theres a reason WM built a Factory in Poland which was to service your market I take it WM Europe has pricing and such on their web site there ??? Look I can understand your fustration but I dont really think its fair to take it out on them in an open forum Especially Here you could have just worked out what you wanted to know and sent them an Email and I am dang sure they would have gotten back to you and let you know what the deal was as Far as I know they try to keep things pretty even across the board  ;) :) :)

Just cause your head's pointed, don't mean you are sharp.

Okay Mr. Satamax, you and I are going to have a little come to Jesus meeting here so you can have a better idea on how to conduct yourself on the Forestry Forum, and also so others know why I'm sticking my nose in here due to the behind the scenes things they don't have the ability to see.

Your first post on this was deleted by a moderator because of the way you presented yourself. This is a Family site. Not a bar room. We do not allow cussing or even pseudo cussing. Also, we do not allow "Rants".  We are here to help. The Sponsors are here to help.  Coming on the Forestry Forum to simply complain will get you no where quick. In fact it can lead to being redirected from this site as well, and we know how much you appreciate that.

Your second try at the topic is better than the first time simply because lightened up on the tone. The problem that still exists is that you have not asked for a solution or for that matter given anyone a reason to help you. You only complained. I'm telling you, if I was Wood-mizer, and you sent them an email in the tone of your first post, I'd completely ignore you, but knowing Wood-Mizer the way we do, they won't. They accommodate even the biggest..., nah, I can't say that word.

Is this a cultural difference? If so, remind yourself next time before you type a post of that fact and that the goal here is to help one another, not to cause strife. There are better things to do with our time then move or remove posts or babysit the content because someone can't be civil. There you go. Strive for civil.

As a side note, take a look at Meadows Miller's post. That should explain the most likely reason for the redirect. Also of note, the replies that are on here were to your first nasty post. They got deleted along with that. I restored those to your revised post for your benefit, so you could see, people here try to help, even when a person makes it a bit undeserving.

Hi there,

Meadows Miller was accurate in explaining what Wood-Mizer is trying to do, and we appreciate him chiming in.

This international redirect is designed to spare our thousands of international visitors confusion by taking them to the right place. Wood-Mizer set up this redirect so that someone in another country is taken to the site that they need, rather than having to navigate country specific websites that don't apply to them. Each market's pricing, sales setup, services and everything else vary for multiple reasons.

If you don't fit the description of the majority of our international visitors that benefit from this service, we would happily provide you with the information you need. At this point, we still don't know why you're trying to access the US website from Europe.

I think I will call up Stihl in the morning, and inform them that henceforth there will be no flippy caps on any of their products.

I betcha it works.

Hold my beer.
Got Wood?
LT-15G GO chassis added.
WM sharpener and setter
And lots of junk.

Jeff

Lets not have this deteriorate any farther than it did with the first post eh?

Hi everybody!

Jeff, i perfectly understand the reasons behind Roxie telling me off. No prob with this. Remember that we speak three different languages. I'm French, speaking  nothern english, where cursing is rather usual! You speak american english, which i do'nt understand all, like "a little come to jesus meeting" What does that mean?  On French forum where i hang around, just saying "jesus" outside of a joke, would be considered religious, and erased. We come from a different world.

Mooney, i just wanted to see the US site, and, it's impossible. I like to make myself an idea of what is going on in different parts of the world. And above all, i like to compare prices, i'm so used to see french resselers  "take the mick"  (english expression, like pulling one's leg, but applies also to bad comercial practices) And put a price tag multiplied by up to eight.

Well, forget about this!

Jeff, i you feel like it, close this discution, it's not all that important.

Jeff

Here is a web definition that is pretty close to the way I meant it for "Come to Jesus Meeting"

"A meeting where someone close to you (e.g. friend, family, etc.) are confronted over behavior that's causing consternation that's negatively effecting your relationship."

I'll let you look up consternation. ;)

Jeff

There are many ways to do it, but I'm not going to recommend them. Nothing is free. Use of those proxy servers and odds are you'll end up paying for it trying to disinfect your computer.

true that,,, I would have to want it pretty bad before I would try it
