Take steps to save steps.

If it won't roll, its not a log; it's still a tree.  Sawmills cut logs, not trees.

Kiln drying wood: When the cookies are burned, they're burned, and you can't fix them.

Sawing is fun for the first couple million boards.

Be smarter than the sawdust

A salute to you and your team! I'm sure that it was a great experience for the team and great that you are still fielding a team.

Thank you, Sir.  We all had a good time.  The team asked me last year if they won the state contest if I would take them to the national event.  My response was for them to do their part, and I'd see what I could do.

I was not able to get any of the e-mails from FFA so my daughter, who took over some of my ag classes and a former co-worker who works in the district office handled all of the registrations, hotel reservations, securing us a vehicle and all of the other stuff that I really don't miss about the job.

Heck, I am a little proud and I do not even know them.   ffsmiley  I still hold my first den mother from cub scouts (Nancy DeArmond) near and dear in my heart and memory.  great job, and the experiences and confidence will last their lifetimes.
