International Paper closes deal with Temple-Inland, for total of $3.51 Billion.  Or $32 pr share, plus assumption of about $700 Million in debt .  Department of Justice requires IP to sell 3 paper mills.  May form the largest company in North America forestry.

Yep, they are indeed back, as what remains to be seen.  The Justice Dept want them to sell the three mills to prevent a monopoly in the wood business.

i think there is a bigger monoply in the oil industry than there ever could be in the wood industry.
