I've always been big on hearing protection, as I've always worked in high noise environments and enjoyed high noise sports and outdoor activities.  Hearing is one of the capacities that once it degrades does not typically recover... ever.  I have friends and relatives that are deaf in one ear and can't hear out of the other from not using hearing protection; some for years and some from a single instance.

I don't know how many of y'all like to listen to MP3 players 8) or need to be able to answer the phone while sawing or running power equipment (I know the Senior Vice President of Domestic Operations gets mad sometimes when I don't answer her calls) but Botach tactical has a great deal on 3M Peltor bluetooth ear muffs in safety yellow (so as not to get lost in the woods).  I've been looking at these on several websites (typically $350 plus) now found them on sale for $89 with free shipping.  Great comfortable hearing protection with the benefit of Tunes and communications!  Thought y'all would like to know.

I'm sure they would be great if you like ear muffs. I strictly wear plugs. I find ear muffs too hot. Water runs off me like crazy if it's warmer than 65 while working. ;D I won't argue over what anyone likes to stick in or over their ears. But in the bush and the thickets of it all, I can't have anything that isn't secured and fastened down on my person or it'll not last long. I also have to listen to my surroundings like the guy cutting on either side of me and the birds. Of course I remove the plugs to hear the birds when fueling the saw and filing. ;)
