I changed my lift assist cylinders 2 weeks ago. I had one go out several months ago and another 3 weeks ago. When the first one went out sawhead started drifting down and did not want to bounce back up to right position when in puter mod. One guy at WM thought it was my gearbox and sent me a brake to go on it. It was taking 80 to 90 amps to raise saw head. On WM guy told me this was right amount another told me it shouldn't take but around 60. Well after the second went out (theres 3 in all and all push up with 567lbs a piece) it started taking 105 amps to raise it and I had to raise my up minimum level to 58 to make it bounce back up. WM says they now know it should only take 60 amps if all three are working right mid 80's if one goes out, over 100 if two go out and around 120 if all 3 go out. When I replaced them it solved a lot of problems. Sometimes when things gradually go bad you don't realize how bad things are until it is all fixed and everything is working right.  If you have an LT70 and your sawhead starts drifting down occasionally or if sawhead won't bounce by up when in puter mode from my experience I would first look to the lift cylinders. You can go into computer and look under diagnostics and see how many amps it takes to pick up sawhead. They are really not hard to change it just takes a little time. I set some scaffolds up over my mill and put a chain hoist on motor to keep it from falling while I changed them. Hope this helps someone
