I know there have been lots of threads about the stuff we buy being made in China. Here's an article that will explain part of the reason why.

That's unbelievable!

Makes one wonder how anyone, especially an adult could be so stupid in the first place.

I really hate to see Blitz go out, Blitz cans are a good product.

Kansas

Did a little research and found that they were facing over 40 lawsuits. Some of these were from way back when, at least 2005. They filed Chapter 11, then decided to close their doors. However, an Emporia, Kansas company has bought the building anyway. Guess that have a manufacturing facility down in the same town, Hopkins manufacturing company.

They have been trying to get Congress to pass legislation for years to give them some protection. Might happen but too late to help them. I don't know if Hopkins is going to use the facility for other manufacturing, or to simply start back up in the gas container business.

we live in the good old us of a you can sue anyone for anything. the government trying to protect us from our own stupidity. one example. push mowers that if you don't hold onto the handle the motor will go dead. try mowing the yard with you'r pants trying to fall down. having to hold onto the handle with one hand and holding up you'r pants with the other. i use a tie wrap to hold the handle up so if i cut off my toes i can sue the mower maker. ;D

This may sound a little harsh (I feel really bad for the death of the child), but I think that gene pool is a little,................shallow. Natural selection was yet again avoided.

Too bad for Blitz and the employees. Darn shame.

Wouldn't it be safer to use the tie wrap to hold up your pants?
