From the bark, I assume that those logs are Redwood  ???  How does it saw?  Hard, soft?

I would love to have some of that red wood here.  I can only imagine what it must sell for.  that stuff will last forever.  or pretty close.   Happy for you,  stay safe!  david
only have a few chain saws I'm not suppose to use, but will at times, one dog Dolly, pretty good dog, just not sure what for yet,  working on getting the gardening back in order, and kinda thinking on maybe a small bbq bizz,  thinking about it,

Nice setup! The Lucas loves those big logs.  Roll them in and start pulling boards for the next 2 hours. Judging by the fact the rails are all the way up, I'd say the butt on that big one is over 4' in diameter?

Yes Magic they are Redwood and saw very easy (soft wood but lasts 50 to 100 years and longer) I'll op[en them this week.

No they are second growth about 110 years old , not old growth. And there mine on 35 acres and not for sale.I tried to post some pictures of them opened up,but could not get it to post.

Looks to me like you got a couple pictures of them up at the top of your original post. I don't think they were there before, showing the fresh-sawn lumber!
