I purchased a set of chaps early this summer and now always use them when cutting.

Well, almost always.  I had to make one quick cut on a log sitting on my band mill.  A quick cut, no need for those chaps.  That is untill the quick cut ended up with the saw coming down a little faster than planned and stopping just short of my right leg.  No big deal, just another quick job with no harm done.

Oh, almost forgot, i am NEVER using my chainsaw again without chaps . . . . . . . . .

I do it too.  :(  It only takes a minute to put them on and it only takes a second for things to go wrong too.

Always.   I have pants rather than chaps, and I put them on if I'm using the saw.    These things just look so hungry to me....
