I recently purchased the mill I've been running at work and got it moved home this weekend. I've probably sawn about 300mbf, but this was the first time I sawed out lumber for me, on my own mill, and it was pretty exciting. ;D

Spalted hard maple, about 180 board feet worth. I sawed it all 12/4 for work bench parts. It was evenly spalted, but still very hard, no punky spots.

Yes, I got everything orange, mill, edger and extension. I'll probably wait until spring and pour a slab to set up the extension.

I'd be selling that spaulted maple, not using it for a workbench.  Steve

Bill, have you been holding out on me? Where are you hiding that long timber? :D

I may have quite a bit extra after I build the bench, in fact there may only be a couple of pieces of spalted in the plan. I want to build something like the Frank Klausz bench in the Workbench book. I have another couple of older hard maples to saw up, so we will have to see what they yield. :)
