My first board on my mill.

I recently purchased the mill I've been running at work and got it moved home this weekend. I've probably sawn about 300mbf, but this was the first time I sawed out lumber for me, on my own mill, and it was pretty exciting. ;D

Spalted hard maple, about 180 board feet worth. I sawed it all 12/4 for work bench parts. It was evenly spalted, but still very hard, no punky spots.

Did yo get the complete set up including the extension?

Yes, I got everything orange, mill, edger and extension. I'll probably wait until spring and pour a slab to set up the extension.

I may have quite a bit extra after I build the bench, in fact there may only be a couple of pieces of spalted in the plan. I want to build something like the Frank Klausz bench in the Workbench book. I have another couple of older hard maples to saw up, so we will have to see what they yield.

Big congrats on the new mill and keep those boards to make something out of them for yourself ;) ;D 8) 8)

Thats one thing i regret is i did not keep n make something for myself out of my first log (its on a shed we built though ) and i do have some 3 or 400 bft ea of Spotted Gum and Cal Redwood from mills #2 and #3 tha im going to do something for myself outa some time soon  ;) ;D 8)
