My daughter's boyfriend Dan was with us trout fishing this summer.
I was upstream, my SIL was downstream.  Dan got this video of the Beaver and pushed him my way.  Dan and Kevin had walked over his den.
The beaver came out to investigate.  I'm really surprised Dan didn't get splashed.
He looked bigger than this video showed as he went past me underwater.  I was sitting on a downed log streamside waiting for the boys to get done.  We caught a couple small ones at this location and moved on.

Nice vid. Moose. This is one I'll come back and watch when there is snow all on the ground around here.  :)
I like outdoor summertime vids.
Thanks for sharing.

P.S. Nice Beaver.  :)
The older I get I wish my body could Re-Gen.

Well then, here is another summertime video. ;D
It is Dan's dog Arthur in our pool.

:D :D :D You really needed that dog when you saw the Beaver. Neither one would have come back and the chase would still be on.  :D

Beavers can be rabid.  Last one heard of was late 90's in Chatham county NC.  Quite a show of alarm they put on in the dark.  When going about the swamp in the predawn darkness they slap there tails on the water around you.  Sometimes quite close.  Never knew them to be aggressive.  Put your duck  decoys out and things quiet back down while you wait on daylight.

The boys asked me if Beavers attack humans and I told them that I had never heard of it happening.
Then a week after this we heard a news story of a man getting bit by a beaver.  Sure glad that didn't happen.
It was some pretty rough terrain getting around and I had given up and was sitting on a downed log enjoying and cogitating.
We had spent enough time in this stream and there were as many carp as there were trout.  The carp at the end of this stream are so thick you can spear them where this dumps into the St. John a few miles down.

One time I was paddling down a steep creek in a kayak. The water was snow melt and the creek was narrow and rocky. A beaver popped up right in front of me. We paddled together for maybe 100 yards. It was pretty nice being able to watch him in action.
