There are alot of you that has been sawing lumber for a long time. I have been building furniture for 25 years and just started custom sawing a few years ago. I saw lumber for woodworkers and am always looking for logs that most people would only burn. Most of my wood is salvage wood. I was wondering if any of you have ever sawn for famous people. The reason I am asking this is a month or two ago I got an order for some wide walnut boards. The person called me and talked to me for quite a while about woodworking and lumber. He then called back and ordered 300 bf of walnut. I dont want to say his name but he has written many woodworking books for Taunton Press and has been on the cover of Fine Woodworking magazine many times. Today a man came up and wants to have me saw a few timber frame homes for him and his clients and also saw for all his clients. He was the logger that was on Ax Men last year logging with draft horses. A few years ago I built some furniture for former Nascar driver Bobby Johns who raced back in the 70's. Have any of you sawed for well known people?

I once sawed for a guy who was a legend in his own mind, does that count?  He paid well and quickly too as, of course, a legend would.
A very wise man once told me . Grand children are great, we should have had them first

I saw for the cardinals... uhm that would be a company called Cardinal Pallet ;D

I saw a couple gooseneck loads each week for a guy named Fred. he once told me he was named after Jerry Reed's dog on Smokey and The Bandit.

I have sawn quite a bit of lumber for the original wearer of the Paul Case Moustache. Does any of that count?

I sawed a bunch of cherry for a guy who builds fancy horse drawn carriages.  He's made some for Disney World and other places like that.  You take a ride on one of those things, you might be parking your butt on lumber I sawed.
