Anyone have plans for a dual plane lig clamp like on the newer wood mizer lt 40's?? I would like to upgrade my old flip top clamp.

I haven't seen any but I would be interested in upgrading mine as well

A few members have made them.

The newer factory design requires cutting the frame and welding the rectangular tubing to the outside to get more clamp travel.

I'm pretty sure that @pineywoods has fabricated a 2-plane clamp.

There are pictures/illustrations on here showing where someone welded the square tubing modification to the existing frame before cutting the original frame.

I agree with Magicman, there was someone here on the Forestry Forum that added the 2-plane clamp to their older mill, and as Magicman said, they did the welding before they did any cutting!
