Hi there Jimh! I'm gonna have to save this thread so I can meet up with some of you guys smiley_beertoast  I dont get down there often. Sis wants me to move down there, been givin it some thought. Is it hard to get logs down there?

Jim H

I haven't bought any logs in years. Back when I was buying it had to be a small logger, the bigger guys didn't have time to mess with a small mill, plus you have to be able to lift 12'+ to unload a large truck or tractor-trailer. I get logs from tree services occasionally, mostly for free.

Rockman, yes that was me in the Timberking video. I have since bought a 2000 Timberking. Rooster, anytime you want to come to the Blue Ridge mountains I'm about a mile off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Floyd is a nice place to visit.

I am also in the Charlottesville area. Seems like there are a lot of folks you can visit on your trips north and south. You are welcome to stop by any time.
