Hey congratulations; "Pappy"  8)

From what I can see that's a little bundle of fun growing there.

Oh.......like the sandals.  Although their is not to much use for them here in the Willamette Valley.

You are corect Steve.  Out here you need pontoons, most of the time, or webbed feet along with a set of buck teeth for falling timber and a big flat tail to get to the next tree. :D

Although, several weeks ago I could have used a pair those things Pappy has on his feet, as we had about 30" plus of snow at my place. :'(

Looks like Emils........

When I was a teenager there was an old man named Emil. He drank beer as fast as he could get one. In the winter even with 2' deep snow he went to the village shop and do you gess what he took on his feet?
Yes, the same socks and sandals as in the summer but ouside them big thick socks! He didn´t walk the plowed road but the nearest way. He had always been lazy.

Once people in the village asked him about how his national basic pension could be enough for all that beer every day,
"You also need food, don´t You?".
He answered:  Anna (his whife) also have her pension!

Stephen,
"bundle of fun",  we were very fortunate to receive two bundles in the last year.  Gods saving grace.

My sandals might not be worth a hoot in Willamette Valley but I bet they'll work up on Mount Jefferson   ;)

"30" plus of snow"  :o  my sno sandals would still be hung up and I'd be inside with a hot toddy watching it come down. :D  Thank my lucky stars I don't have to go out and check the crews or dig out the lumber before scaling it in the morning.  Boy I sure don't miss those days.

Swede,
