I've been looking for another "cheap" 100hp tractor for the last couple of months to have as another backup for hay season. Looked at about 15 tractors before I finally found this one. Ended up with this one because I got it cheap as it needs a little TLC. Big thing is the hydraulic's lose prime when it sits so the seller didn't want to monkey with it. Turns out there is a pinhole leak in the pump suction line so I will have that all fixed up as soon as my parts come in. Then pop in a new cab interior and replace the AC compressor and it should be good to go for the season. The other half said we didn't "need" another tractor but I told her that you can never have too many tractors. haha

Here it is down in Oconto Falls, Wi loaded up for the ride home.

Here it is at its new home here in the arctic circle.

With the good winter your having up there, you needn't worry about the AC.  ;)
Good find!

Its a 77 Allis Chalmers 7000. AC isn't a necessity but it sure is nice when its 90 degrees out and the hay dust is a flying. 3 remotes, 540 and 1000rpm PTO, and a partial powershift trans means it should be perfect for hay and other row crop work. Going to move the rear wheel spacing around when we get a nice day to try and free up enough extra axle shaft so that I can put a set of dual hubs on there.

Congrats on the much "needed" tractor.

This must be at least a half dozen of us that have bought various tractors this Spring.   ;D

I've been looking since last fall and finally found what I was looking for. Was hoping to find something in the fall or winter as it would have given me more time to go through it and fix all the little things and get it ready for spring planting and hay, but couldn't find what I was looking for. Don't think I will have this tractor ready for planting but for sure will have it ready to go by mid summer and hay season.

Nice looking tractor!  What row width do you run up there?  I love those (older) tractors, I can still work on them  :).

chevytaHOE5674

This year I am only drilling in oats as a cover for hay :D. Not a lot of "traditional" row crops grown UP this way as the season is too cool and short. I occasionally plant beans or attempt corn on wide 38" rows, and have a friend that grows Sorghum for silage on 30" rows.

I won't own a tractor that I can't fix with just a regular set of tools. Seen too many guys have break downs with newer equipment that requires computers and special equipment to get back up and running which costs time and money when your right in the middle of harvesting.
