Welcome. dbuck  Sounds like your getting to know that B 20 from the ground up. Dose your steel wheels have a flange on them. might be why the distance from back of wheel is different. If your milling Ash I take it you left Wa. I have made several mods to my 06 B 20 got rid of cord reel and put a push pull marine cable on log clamp. If I had faster up down saw head travel I could probably hold my own against a new TK 2000  :D

Hey there! I've read a fair amount of your posts on here since I've joined, so thanks for commenting :) I had to replace the wheel scrapers on mine and saw you had posted some very good pictures of them awhile back.
My wheels are just a solid steel with no flange, maybe a shade over an inch and a quarter wide..and the guide rollers are the only ones with the flange (if that's what you were asking). I have it tracking well now (I think). A problem I had was the axle the drive pulley and the main drive wheel are attached to didn't have the allen setscrews set well so the whole shaft moved axially! Horrible. I found a hole for one of the set screws to go in and its staying there but that's only one setscrew holding it. The other was mangled by the previous owner and the other two don't sit in any depression, just against the shaft.
I was a nuke electician in the Navy so I was stationed in Bremerton for the last four years of my 6. Moved to Colorado for awhile then back to Gig Harbor...I just came back to the east coast about four months ago to help the family out some since I've been away for so long but I'm actively looking for jobs to return to the west...love it out there. I saw you are on Whidbey so when I do get back out I'd certainly be interested in meeting with you and maybe even helping out some time.

Sounds good  dbuck look me up  when you get back to this area!  For some reason I thought steel wheels had flanges.
