Just got a phone call that set me off!!!

One of the contractors i haul for just called and told me that they was sending there trailer truck in to haul pine logs off a job i am hauling the wood off! Told him he could haul the hardwood pulp and cedar thats there too!!!  I am not cleaning up after someone else! Sorry about the rant ;D

I can see where that could make a guy mad. I have had people offer me more money on some of my wood and i tell them NO because the guy that gets my stuff is honest and takes it all and dont leave me hanging if a market falls on one item. You dont ruin a good thing over a few more TEMPORARY dollars.

What is his problem? Too much of a hurry? If he comes back with hat in hand be sure to play a little hard ball, teach him not to bite the hand that feeds him.

No hurry, they lost there feller buncher crew and now there truck is lacking wood to haul.

Been there before woodhauler. When I had trucks I hauled for this smaller sawmill they bought their own truck, told me it was just to help out didn't care if it worked everday. I had two trucks hauling for them at the time called one of my crews to see what they had and they said the mill truck was hauling for them now, they darn owner couldn't call me and tell me himself he's a total coward in my eyes. I called the coward at home and his answer was "do you think my trucks going to sit while yours works" glad I had more work than I could handle anyway. At least your guy called you but it still stinks.

We have an agreement with 2 truckers, one hauls our firewood and pine logs on his tri axle and the other buys pulpwood on the header and hauls it on his way home. Both seem happy with the arrangement. Pulp hauler picks up on his way from IP in Ticonderoga to home in Glens Falls and the wood is all decked.
