i traded my 511ex hydroax for a 2004 950 prentice daul arch. i pay for half the trucking and we are done. my old 648E john deere has been giving me fits every day for the last 2 months it seems like. I have 2 cutters one small 3 wheeled machine and the 511. i am in small timber and the lil cutter can handle most of the wood we need to cut. the Prentice was just to good of deal to pass up. It has mainly new hydraulics on it. New paint and is running everyday for the guy. He already has 2 more but no cutter. since the trade. there is nothing wrong with my 511 i have ran it for 4 months and not put a bucket of hydralic fluid in it. here is the skidder. dont have pic of my cutter.

Looks good . I believe I saw it for sale on Craigslist and thought it was a bargain.

I saw that on CL too, looked like a heck of a good deal.

That's a bigun'!   Did prentice buy out someone else and build skidders or start from scratch?  Where did they (do they) build them? In prentice? Or somewhere else?
Turbosawmill M6 (now M8) Warrior Ultra liteweight, Granberg Alaskan III, lots of saws-gas powered and human powered :D

That skidder was also branded as a ctr. Both prentice and ctr were owned by blount, now by cat. it was built off the tj 460 platform. Cummins power, Clark trans, john deere clys. Axels vary.
