For the second day my customer provided help has been a "no show".   :-\     Yesterday is was a "stomach virus" and today a "breakdown".  This is my absolute all time best customer and the fact that this has never happened before helps my feelings, but two lost days when my sawing schedule is already behind hurts.

I still have about 125 logs to saw, but at least it did allow me to get some catchup PM service done on the sawmill.

Is it the customer themselves who are providing the help?  Or someone the customer has hired to help you out?

It is customer hired help.  Neither of the now shows were actually the helpers fault, just frustrating that I was not notified.  Not only is this my all time best customer, it is also my all time best helper.  Tomorrow will be a good day.   smiley_thumbsup

At least they didn't show up in the morning and then go to lunch and not come back.  I hired a guy one time.  Started 6 am on a Monday morning.  Took break at 9:30 and never saw him again.  I guess stacking lumber was too difficult to handle first thing in the morning!  haha   Most of us that have worked ion production environments know how this goes.......

Man, it is rough on an off-bearer in the full sun in this heat and humidity.  DanG near impossible to work after noon in these parts.

Not sure how to respond, help is always good, its hard enough to keep a flow going just sawing not to mention stopping to do the deed, I have done allot of it, very slow going in the big picture, one good hand can make all the difference in my book, My son Bret is one of the best, hand signals and just knowing where and what I am doing goes unsaid.  the difference of 1000 ft and 2000 ft a day for sure,  hate to hear about a stomach virus, no one wants this, and the heat can only add to the ill effects of this. We had a young one pass out last night at the ball field due to the heat.   david
only have a few chain saws I'm not suppose to use, but will at times, one dog Dolly, pretty good dog, just not sure what for yet,  working on getting the gardening back in order, and kinda thinking on maybe a small bbq bizz,  thinking about it,

Hey MM, what is that your sawing with all the bark already off?

Ga Mtn Man

MM has made a second career out of sawing beetle-killed SYP, which I believe is what that is in the pics.

Lyle, Papow, I think my passport is still valid, but running the controls for too long has left me a little slow and flabby... ;)

Offloading is young mans work, or the clients...

I like the subject of this post ! " No Show " Help !!!     I am finding out already that help is going to be hard to come buy. Don't matter if you are willing to pay or accept offers from friends for help. I am still setting up my mill (by myself) slowly but , surly. I got the log deck almost complete today , still some bracing to do yet ...  I am planning on setting the engine in place and hooking up the dust chain this week end.  We will see. I just had to vent on the help thing !!!   LOL !!!!

Progress today MM??

That was Cypress, and I finished sawing it today.  I had to leave that job site and all of those bucked ERC logs.   :-\
I actually sidetracked another job to get this customer out of a jam and now I have to get myself out of a jam and attend to a couple of other customers.

Something started happening to my 12 volt supply today, so tomorrow I will be "finding & fixing".
