Hey everyone, thanks for posting way more than anyone can actually read. Ther is a ton of info on here. I just bought a Timberking 1600. It's a 2008 with 153 hours. I'm trying to make my own income and hope this mill will help. Some questions I have are what is a good starting wage. I certainly plan on doing a bunch of practice before I get out in the world of cutting for profit. And how is a rig like this typically insured? Any other tips would be more than appreciated.

Howdy bigbo, not familiar with your mill or what it's potential is, but I am pretty sure there is some income that can be made, and there is available insurance for portable mills, just depends on how much you plan on covering like most plans,  have fun,  david
only have a few chain saws I'm not suppose to use, but will at times, one dog Dolly, pretty good dog, just not sure what for yet,  working on getting the gardening back in order, and kinda thinking on maybe a small bbq bizz,  thinking about it,

Ya  I've been around mills. Both circular and band, loved it the first time on. My mill has Hyd loader and turner feed and up and down. Pretty excited about it.
