I'm renovating my great grandfathers old farm stand into a DH kiln.  The stand is approx 20 x 20 and about 8 ft high.  I did some math and came up with around 19,000 bf if I stack it wall to wall.  I know I'll have to leave room for the unit, fans etc.   Is it safe to say I could dry 10,000 - 15,000 bf in there?  What DH unit would you guys recommend on a chamber that size? Thanks in advance.

I would figure a lumber pile of about 20 long, 12 wide and 7.5 high.  Using 3/4" sticks, that would be 50 layers at 240 bf per layer.  But there will be gaps, so maybe 200 bf per layer is better, giving 10,000 feet.  It depends on species, but as a start, 1 HP compressor per 1000 bf.
