Hope I did this picture thing right.

Sure a nice load of logs. Did you have to haul them far?

I remember being in and around Cody, WY where they were hauling logs a 100-150 or so miles, and having to chain and unchain the truck tires 4-5 times along the way. That was back when the big fire came out of Yellowstone and burned into Wyoming (something unusual for fires, to get over that mountain range, I heard).

Well it's pretty obvious I didn't do that picture right!! Hope I don't get in to much trouble from the powers that be!

They were the best of the little logging job I did last spring. About a mile from my house. There was more there then I wanted to tackle on our little mill so I had them taken to a mill about 45 miles from me and they milled them. They were hauled down on monday and I went down and watched them mill them on Tuesday and Wednesday. My friend that hauled them is legal at about 85,000lbs at that length, he weighed 106,000lbs when he left the landing! I think that figured out to about 35 tons of logs. Now I have to figure how to get them back up here and stacked and stickered so I can get started on the frame.

Back when I was driving log truck the most I had to chain up was 3 times on a load and that was a pain, 4 or 5 times and I would have been really foul mooded!!

This is a shot of the saw working on some logs at the mill that I took my logs to. The saw is a Select Sawmill from Ontario, Canada.

This is our timbers and boards when I picked them up last monday.

I got about 18 or so tons of timbers and boards from 33 tons of logs. I watched  it all being sawed and was very impressed with there recovery. I haven't gotten it all stacked and stickered yet so I don't have a total board footage yet.
