It wouldn't be a place for 'picky' eaters. As grandmother would say (as she cooked in hunting camps) eat or go without. ;D

Grandfather had a relative who cooked in a logging camp, and you only sat at the table when the cook announced it. And there was no dipping bread in the butter dish or molasses dish. The fellow wielded a big clever, and one day someone tried to break the rules and the offender got 'broke in'.  ;D

Kderby, I'd have to guess that it's simple business. If guys are talking they aren't eating, and you simply have to eat out there or your going to be "sick". Plus 20 guys talking turns 1/2 hour into an hour quick.
