Today while making a skid road with my 548 deere, I noticed my blade hydraulics would growl when I was giving it throttle and lifting or lowering the blade. It also was the same for my grapple boom. Anyone have any ideas?  Later on after I had shut the machine down and restarted it it would not do it. Think she may have just passed a crumb?

Did you have a look in the reservoir tank? How cold was it outdoors?

It was a bad relief valve on the winch control of our 240a.

Family man and loving it :)

Southside

Does it get harder to steer or brake when it is doing that?  The priority valve on my 540 started to stick as it got worn and she would growl and steering or braking would get impacted as the valve impacted the blade, steering, and brakes.  Not sure if its the same setup on your machine or not, one day she just gave up on me.
