I think this is the company that did the band wheels for the Breezewood mills.

I had mine done about 10 years ago.

Timber Wolf sells v-belts for the Breezewood also.

I was told that Breezewood mills were made close to me in Reynoldsville, pa.  They told me Woodmizer bought him out, or that he went to work for Woodmizer. ;)

My mill is 21 years old. I did the pvc pipe over the acme thread. I don't remember the exact sizes. I'll try to the sizes tomorrow. I also converted from the drive cables to tires. You need a hub to fit the motor shaft. I used 5" wheels and tires with a 10" diameter. I added a flow control to the hydraulics for the drive so I could slow down the feed speed.

Thanks Brian with your info I found the wheels a modification for the coating and the coaster if I chose

Here is the information on the covers for the acme thread.

2" pvc pipe 4" long for the bottom piece that goes on the bearing.
2" pvc coupling.
2" to 1 1/2" bushing. I remove the ridge in the bushing so the 1 11/2 pipe can slide through it.
1 1/2" pvc pipe 24" long.
1 1/2" pvc cap.

When you glue the 1 1/2" pipe into the bushing make sure you leave enough length so the acme thread doesn't stick out the top with the saw head all the way down.

Drill a small (1/8") hole in the cap to let air flow in and out.

I didn't glue the cap on so I can remove it to add oil. I use chain oil for lube.

Thanks Brian 1question why not 2inch only 24inch long and is the cap for sawdust probably all dumb questions sorry also I did a lot of sawing at a bison ranch I had in shanondale pa south of brookville on route 80 where are you from there my mill is now in Manitoba Canada needed more room and more wood thanks for the info also more critters to kill

Brian_Rhoad

If you use 2" for the whole tube it will wobble and come off when you run the saw head up and down. The cap is to keep the sawdust out. I'm near Hershey PA.

I've seen a couple Breezewood mills for sale and have always been intrigued by their design.Brian or Alaskabob could you post some pictures of your mill and share some thoughts about your mills.I realize they are no longer made but someone put some thought into their design.
