I have been carpentering for the past couple of days.  When I was washing up I discovered a patch of grease or something on my arm that needed attention.  I grabbed my "hand washing fingernail brush", squirted it with soap, and started showing that grease who was the boss. :o  Ouch, bruises do not wash off.   Wonder when that happened??

No offense Lynn, but this happens as we age. :-\ All part of getting "more experienced".
My wife thinks about a bruise and she gets one. I, on the other hand, am never easily bruised. But when I do get one, it's very colorful and lasts a long time.

Mrs. Smith is very fair skinned and bruises easily .I on the other hand am relatively dark skinned perhaps due to some native American in my gene pool and have hide like a rhino  and don't bruise easily .Which is not to say I don't get a fair amount of grease on me .

I will come in the house and the wife will ask what I have done now. Chase the blood down to see where it is coming from. Never know how I did biggest part of the time.

Yup, me too.  Out of every 100 bruises or blood spots, I can remember where maybe 1 came from.  Wife just shakes her head and smiles...then sends me back out to the shop :D

I got whacked really bad drilling the holes for the hitch on my log arch build.  The drill bit caught, spun the drill out of my hands, and smacked it up side of my head.  I carried a very black eye for over a week.  (No selfie)   :D

Your lucky a black eye is all ya got.

I sawed the hitch off my TK and made a massive receiver type assembly.  On the hitch side I drilled 1" holes for the pin by putting it in a vice on the Bridgeport.  Like drilling butter.  On the trailer side I decided to drill the 1" holes with one of those old 1/2" drills affectingly called arm breakers.  Knowing the potential for injury, especially with that big of bit I forged drilled ahead.  I even held the drill so if it grabbed it would spin out of my hands and not hurt....  I couldn't use my thumb for a month and it was painful for two.  Not sure what I did, other than it was a big ouch.

I once locked the trigger on a ½" drill.  It wound up half of the shop before it finally unplugged itself.  Yup, arm breaker is a proper name.   :-\

I have on OLD 3/4" craftsman all metal probably 60's model that spinning up sounds like a jet engine starting off.   Only gets to about 150 RPM on the head but that thing takes a min to spin back down after it beats you up for a while!   Still have to install a NEW CORD from last time I used or tried to use it! :D :o electricuted-smiley

I'm looking for help all the shrinks have given up on me :o

Me too.  A 3/4" craftsman just like that.  I had a 3" fortner bit on the 2nd story of a porch.  Drilling the mortice for a log railing and jammed my hand into the deck...which locked my finger down on the trigger.  half my body was out out over the wild blu yonder when I got that thing under control.  Thankfully the bit was so locked into the hole I could use the drill to pull myself back onto the deck. Yikes.  MM,  I remembered where all those bruises came from :D
