I am looking for a bench grinder for my saw chains I am tired of sharpening them by hand I am wondering what kind do you recomend. I am not looking to spend a fortune but I want one that will last for a long time. Thanks

50.00$ more than you think you should pay for a grinder. I have a habour Tool Nick the grinder. I con the local dealer in giving me the wheels which are getting to small for his big Oregen and Bob's your uncle .

I saw in a harbor freight add, that they had one for like $64.95. I think it is the Chicago Electric version of the Nick the Grinder.

I went and looked at my harbor freight store locally and they wanted 130 dollars and this sharpener looked like a piece of junk I dont mind 130 dollars but I want it to have a brand name I can trust. What do you all think I should I wait till it goes on sale again or what. Thanks

There's a whack of info on grinders if you do a quick search, there's lots of info in here from different people.

Dan,

The title of this thread doesn`t match the statement within.

The best round grounders are in descending order of price and performance, the Silvey 510, Maxx, Oregon 511A/Tecomec FL136. The Tecomec Mini Jolly is a very good economy grinder but lacks full adjustability.
