Number of resharps before breaking?

Same Here.

Mine does also. some times its burning the teeth and others its not touching them.

I put some silicone on the metal plate that the side of the pushing "paw" rides against.

This seemed to help some.

Also the spring that is attached to the pushing rod was causing it to twist.

I stretched out the spring a little.

I have some new bands to sharpen and I will see how it does.
