Heres some pics from a job in Magnolia, Texas. An 87' foot oak tree
died in this customers back yard.Being the super hero that I am, I
took the job! ( my crew did not call me a super hero) My son reminded
me that I always told him not to get to big for his britches! He said
pop " I believe you got to big for your britches  on this one'' >:( We had
to cut in in 5 pieces.Bob cat could not move untill we did this! First cut
off small end was no problem. After that s#** went downhill!!Had to rip
each piece in half to get on mill.Even then still had to trim off knots for mill to accept its massive width >:( Never again :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

Main thing is to get the job done, how one goes about getting to the done part is the adventure of the beast.  :)

No pic of what it yeilded?  So did you get paid by the hour by the customer?
Anything someone can design, I can sure figure out how to fix!
If I say it\\\\\\\'s going to take so long, multiply that by at least 3!

Yea, I got paid by the hr. /Plus my milege one way. The customer rented
the bobcat/skidder! I have the Lt 35 manual with the deck package! That
log turner does a heck of a job,not only did I use it  to rotate the Beast.
I also used it to hold(clamp) it I place.I had free reign on how I cut it. Made
him some  1"x6"s,1"x12"s. 2"x10"s, 2"x8",6's,4"s.4"x4", 4"x6"s, 4"x8"s
He had no plans for the lumber? Just didnt want to waste it.Said something
about selling it on CraigsList? ; Job paid well but we worked our tails off ;D ;D ;D

Looks like your having a couple Shiners, that will clear out the sawdust.
Nice log and nice job, the hill country is loaded with huge oaks and they make great lumber.
roll with it

I have often wondered how twisted I am for enjoying jobs like that. Good going on getting the job done. A huge thumbs up for the customer for not wasting that nice tree.
