rope and or winch with a push mower going strait down the hill, then pull it back up.  over, and let it roll down the hill again constrained by the rope.  safer but a lot of work and time.
surely you can design one.  or artificial turf.   :)   :P   8)
If you go that route I strongly suggest a 2 cycle mower. Around here many commercial mowing companies use 2 cycle because a 4 cycle doesn't get enough lubrication on steep slopes and they wear out in short order.
logging small time for years but just learning how,  2012 36 HP Mahindra tractor, 3point log arch, 8000# class excavator, lifts 2500# and sets logs on mill precisely where needed, Woodland Mills HM130Max , maple syrup a hobby that consumes my time. looking to learn blacksmithing.

That big ol boy on the skid steer should have known he was in trouble when he had to hang his leg off the side of the mower for balance to mow the slope.  That could have been a lot worse, as well as for the person filming it.

I will probably end up getting a 12,000lb class excavator next spring with a mower head, for the pond, farm and I guess the sawmill, but I can't figure out what I'd use it for on the mill.  I was out weed eating this beautiful morning, and saw another snake a couple feet away, but it decided it didn't want to tango.

I also used the CTL with the 4 way bucket to scalp some of the Bermuda turf growing in my dove field, and slice it up in chunks like strips of turf.  I took these down to the pond shoreline I dressed in the previous picture and pressed the hunks of topsoil and turf into the dirt. So now I have instant grass again, I hope it takes off and starts growing.  Typically Bermuda grows so thick it chokes out most other stuff.  So now at least for this portion of shoreline, I should have a good turf on a slope gentle enough to mow, next spring.  Maybe.

Now if I could get an excavator with remote telematics, I could run it from the dock while I was fishing.  Or Martha could.

If it won't roll, its not a log; it's still a tree.  Sawmills cut logs, not trees.

Sticking his leg off the downhill side was asking for it to roll.

I limbed up any trees that had limbs that were too low to keep the rollbar up.  It stays up all the time now, so one less thing to think about.

I also pulled up some bushes around a rental house that made quarters too close for the 72" deck.

I agree, I wouldn't run one without the ROPS up, and that guy in the video would have been chopped meat if he hadn't had one.  I use mine to lift the mower for service and it never even flexes.  I was amazed at how fast the blades stopped, also.  I assume that was from the seat sensor tripping.

I know this technique for jacking the mower up to change the tire isn't probably in the manual, but it works.

Last month my friend/neighbor that always sat on his front porch and I tooted and waved at every time I left home was changing the blades on his ZT mower.  He had it propped up and it fell while he was under is.  The deck edge fell across his neck and that is where his son later found him.  Phillip was 73.

The big flat rear is useful.  I'm not getting under one, and don't even like to have to bend over.  I have a sharp set of blades to swap out pretty quickly, and leave it sitting back down overnight so the oil can drain back down.

I like sharp blades.

Sedgehammer

When we had our mowing service of over 700 customers , we compared sharp blades to blades not been sharpened since new .  We could not tell any difference in cut quality or speed in which we could cut . We stopped sharpening them . Big time saver
