thinking about putting at least 2 new tires on my skidder . what is the normal price for new tires and tubes in the USA, if its alot cheaper I just may drive over the border and buy them there as I live not far from the border , am thinking Firestone , back 2 on the skidder are primex and not real happy with how they turned out . Were on the skidder when I bought it but ripping up alot more than the firestones on the front

The last time I looked at tire prices they were $1,400 for 18.4 x 26 and $2,000  for 18.4 x 34 10 ply Firestone Forestry Specials. I know the 23.1 x 26 would be a lot more. Someone was saying that tire prices are coming down but I doubt that. Once they get the price up they aren't going to drop it by much.

Last one I bought was $3400 and that was 2 years ago prolly up around $4000 now with tubes

I bought one Firestone 23.1 by 26 10 ply tire last July. It listed for $2000 and shipping was another $200. This was still $100 dollars cheaper than the local dealer.

Tires are spendy for sure! I don't like the pair of Prime X log stompers i bought either, they were cheaper then the Nokians but the Nokians still are great, while the Prime X are weather checked bad, chunks missing. I've had good success with Firestone also.
