it must be the season. back to back orders for these so people must be thinking about sitting on the porch in these. here is the first slab style I have made. I have a couple in my living room now until delivery. I don't mind  ;D

Very nice!  Are the rockers naturally curved or did you bend or cut?

the rockers are cut. I shape them by eye with a electric hand held planer. I have done several of these this way. I recently brought home a 6 inch grizzly jointer and I think I will work on a jig for them.

Larry, those rockers look great and rock nicely. I don't have pictures but I sat in that very rocker.

Mom's grandfather made one, he used tree bark on the seat and back. I think it's now sitting in my brother's back yard. I remember it when it sat on my uncle's camp porch on the hill behind the house in the 70's overlooking the river valley.  :)

I'd like to see pictures of the jointer jig when you make it. Sounds interesting.
