Tried to move the 404 when there was ice in the hydraulic system. Busted casing on the drivers side pump. Fixed that. Would only steer while trying to lift blade and would not lift blade at all. After having steering valve looked at and relief valve adjusted discovered that shaft on the other pump was cut off. could not get exact pump but got a replacement in. Now the blade will lift but it steers backwards. Tried switching the 2 hoses from steering valve then it would lift blade whenever u steered (but it steered in the right direction). Put hoses back in original place. so it's ok except steers backwards. I can't drive safely like that. Anyone have any idea to help me?/

I would stay with the part that caused the trouble.  Check your plumbing on the pump.

If you're sure everything is OK with the pump, switch the hoses on the steering cylinders.
