I don't give very good advice when it come to Father and Child but I can pray for you.  :)

If tempers don't flare and words aren't said that cannot be taken back it is possible to reverse a situation like this, if your daughter does decide she has made a mistake. Takes a bit of time, a lot of patience and people who think before they speak. This is not my opinion, it is my memory. The person who probably needs your advice is your son in law. Tell him to speak of his feelings, shortcomings and hopes but no one else"s. Tell him to be supportive of your daughter, she is the mother of his children. Tell him to be patient, understanding and available to talk. Tell him to hope.
