track issues with brand new norwood hd36.  noticed it when trying to set track width. measurements were 39 inches on inside frame lips at bunks.  ran out of travel to set tracks. pulled the bolts out on one side all the way down and now frame measures 38 3/4.    rear its 38 3/8.  looking at it further it appears the galvanized L brackets have zero clearance for the frame stamping at the splice of the frame rails,  where they do have a hole for the other staping and now are slightly bowed.  should i just grind the stampings  flat? mycell is 7632275279

Best, IMO, to call Norwood and work out the problem with them.
Am sure they will accommodate you.

This is why its wise to spend just a little more and get your mill from a reputable company, your not hung out on the line to dry. Frank C.

Shelby, I'd be cautious putting your cell out there on the web...I learned the hard way.  Hopefully Norwood has resolved the issue, but if not, I'm confident they will soon.  I had a couple minor concerns with mine when I got it, emailed them directly, worked it out, and got calls later just to check in.  They've been an awesome company to work with, even when I was the cause of the issue.

I wouldn't consider Norwood "not reputable" by any means, and no one's been hung out on the line to dry.  They're a great company that's constantly improving their product line, and have great customer service (perfectly exemplified with Mike's response).  I think they hit a great price point in the market for a manual mill.  They're uncomplicated, easy to work on, and cut great.  They're also really easy to upgrade as you go, or bolt on your own modifications to without having to be a welder.

I'm pretty sure that bandmiller2 was saying it's good that he bought from a reputable company like Norwood.
