Can someone tell me if the flywheel is threaded to the crank or does it just pull off. I am sure that the coil has gone south. I would just like to know for sure. I want to clean it and the reassemble it to hang as a conversation piece. I would even like to have a copy of a service manual if anyone has such an animal. Thanks

I have never heard of a threaded flywheel on a saw . Just a nut .

Yes after I thought about it some more it does make sense. Now I just have to figure out how to get a puller in there to get it off.

I just pull the nut and smack it with a hammer . If this works fine if you screw up the end of the crank I didn't tell how . Gearbox
