How much green lumber does an average tractor-trailer haul legally?  I know it will be different depending on species, I'm looking for numbers for both lighter and heavier species (eastern hardwoods).

Use the Toolbox in lower left column, and you can figure weight of thousand board feet, and knowing the truck limits, get your answer.

It depends some on the type of lumber, for example you can't get as much footage on a load of 4/4 lumber as you can on a load of blocking or ties because every board is 1/8" heavy but only figured as 1". Here recently I sent around 7200' of beech 4/4 and was right at the limit and 8500' of ash 4/4 and 7/4 that was right on too.
