At what DBH does pine become viable to saw?

Saint68,
  We have 1-2 acre plot of natural regeneration SYP we figure is around 25 years old.
It should have been thinned 10-12 years ago but didn't belong to me then. I
have walked through with a forester and he agreed with my release cut flagging and I hope to begin this spring sawing what I take out. I would say the majority DBH is 5"-7". I'm expecting some really tight growth rings... ;)

I didn't think there would be much useable material from that size but I have considered "live edge" 4x4s for my own use...investing in a lathe attachment...just about anything to salvage something.

I guess I could always build a stockade.

Will keep a check here for suggestions.

2x4's are always useful, a little waney edge don't really matter.

Remove the bark before nailing up, eliminates Powder Post Beetles.
