I was seriously thinking about buying the 421 a year ago (my Poulan 4218 pooched), but my local Husqvarna, Echo, Dolmar dealer had a cracker deal on a 455 Rancher, so I bought it. I really like the 455, but if/when I get the buying bug again, I just may spring for the little Dolly then. Of course, I'll need a bigger saw, so a 6400, then maybe a 7900.........

I have a Dolmar 420 that I love for cutting anything up to 16" diameter. I also have 2 professional husqvarna's 2 Jonsered's and 1 Stihl. They all serve their purpose. One big factor is how well you maintain your saw or saws. With that being said, I would highly recommend the 421 Dolmar.

I bought my 421 about 2 years ago. Its bounced around with me on the tractor, in the 4 wheeler box and in the back of the truck most all of those weekends. It has yet to give me any problems whatsoever. My next saw will be another Dolmar, only a bigger one.
