Hello, I am new to the forum and wanted to share with you my experience assembling and using the Grandberg Alaska Mill. I ordered the C2 kit, which included a 72" bar, auxiliary oiler and a ripping chain. Assembly was easy and I learned with a 60" mill, your widest cut will be 56 inches and not 60. I am running the STIHL 880, 120 cc, motor; incredible power, it took about 5 minutes to cut through an 18" X 102" log. I made my first cut yesterday and it was awesome!! As my good friend Danny says, "You've got saw dust on the ground." I'm off to go make more cuts and start stacking.

That was him.  Live, and in person.  Now, he has been bit by the Bug.

I've got the same mill with a Stilh 090 saw.  I'm about to try it for the first time as soon as my new chain comes, which may be tomorrow or Wed.
Anything someone can design, I can sure figure out how to fix!
If I say it\\\\\\\'s going to take so long, multiply that by at least 3!

With 137cc on the 090, you are not going to have any problems. You're going to like it!

Those natural edges have a lot of character.

If that much saw doesn't rattle my teeth out!  It sounds and feels like a loud motocross bike.  Also, my chainsaw mill is a lot older than that.  Probably late 70's or early to mid 80's.

I'd love to cut it if you don't have anyone else to do it. That said, I do not have a tractor or way of moving the log.
