can/has anyone ran oil in the water to help them from rusting from the inside out  :-\

That is an interesting idea. I have often wondered about coolant like they use in a machine shop. It has a rust inhibiter in it and you can check it for inhibier loss and add more rust control if needed

I put hydrogen peroxide in mine & seems to be working good !

science 101 = water and oil do not mix.

test it = take a quart canning jar, add some of your HP mix and some steel wool. seal the jar and let it sit.
check it in a month to see if there is any rust
"let the machines do the work"

it will mix to a nice white milk in a motor when the head gasket goes  ;D

I would say to use some kind of chemical/rust inhibitor, as that is what most OWB recommend.  I realize using oil may be cheaper, but I have never seen a OWB manufacturer recommend adding oil, I can only imagine what your circulating pump would think of oil (they don't even like antifreeze/glycol that much)

...on the chemistry side, if you wanted the oil and water to combine you may be able to achieve that with the help of an emulsifier???

I'm curious about the peroxide.  I've never heard of it.  Is it a rust inhibitor?  Does it cancel out the oxygen in the water somehow?

H2O2 is an oxidizer, gladly giving up the extra O atom.
It can also explode if heated to boiling.
I would not recommend using it in an OWB, but makes good additive to laundry to make whites whiter.
