Hello!  I'm new to the forum.  I am currently restoring a mid-20s Hill Curtis circular sawmill.  (Same as American #1.)  The 56" saw blade has type D shanks.  I'm missing 2 shanks and having difficulty finding any replacements, new or used.  If you have any suggestions or know of some old sawmill junkie that would have some lying around in a box, I would appreciate it if you would contact me.

We don't run inserted teeth but start here:

If that don't work, Google is your friend.  Someone somewhere has a box of them on a shelf... all you got to do is pick up the phone and start asking around.

Or just put a new wheel on her with a more common inserted tooth pattern: keep the old one for a wall hanging. Sawplates wear out/ suffer from fatigue. Inserted teeth mean you don't have to remove the saw to braise new teeth on, but that doesn't mean you're exempt from hammering them, or replacing them when the metal is tired. Farm/ hobby/ restoration projects are not an exception to that rule by any means.
The quickest way to make a million dollars with a sawmill is to start with two million.
