I posted a thread back in October where I skipped out of my day job because I had volunteered to help the Virginia Dept of Forestry.   They were sponsoring a workshop for tree care service people, arborist, landscapers to point out other potential market and business opportunities for recovered Ash trees killed by Emerald Ash Borer.   

I was asked to come and bring and set up my mill to demo sawing recovered ash and talk on milling, how I market my service, types of customers I deal with and all other aspects of operating a custom milling service.   I milled a couple Ash logs that they cut during the workshop while showing how to directional fell and risks associated with felling dead trees.   It was a great day and I had fun.

Then today I got an email from the Virginia Department of Forestry with a link to 2 videos they produced that day.   I'm so impressed, I'm going to stop tomorrow and buy a roll of red carpet to go from the house out to the sawmill.
