Well at least some folks with jobs get the day off, but those like me without jobs can also have a day off.  ;D

It's forecast to be raining soooo, I am looking forward to enjoying a lazy day.  Gotta cook so I am planning to grill some shrimp along with some taters and corn.

I got a small order for some 4X4 poplar posts today and cut the tree so, weather permitting, I will saw them tomorrow. Unless my wife tells me different I don't know that we have anything special planned

I guess we are the only country who celebrate and honor our working men the first Monday in September. Most of the rest of the world use May 1st as their workers day.

Not folks on piece work: no work, no pay, period. :D But otherwise, my sentiments exactly. smiley_thumbsup It's raining harder here than off Ida's storm. Plus it's not all that warm, 56F. fire_smiley

I picked him up for my mother, she’s on the other end of the province so I met her half way to give him over, but got to spend a few hours with him! He’s a howler! She/we(I’m trying to help decide a name, so open to suggestions) haven’t decided a name for him yet, he is a 8 week old maltipoo.

She was thinking “jack” but is unsure still

My dad called all his dogs PUP.
When he would call the dog he sounded like an old John Deere.
PUP PUP PUP PUP.
Suggestion: So whatever you decide on for a name stand on the back porch and call the dog using the decided name and see how it sounds.  You might want to rethink the name after that.

Not a double name.  The dog needs a name that it can identify with and knows when it is called.

Nothing special for the day planned. So far I've fed the critters and trouble shot the icemaker in the fridge, ordered a new water control valve.

you can have bigger names and abbreviate when calling.  Norman Rockwell was Norman,  Win Dixie was Dixie, and Lady Liberty is Libby.  and Scout was just Scout.  When we have registered our dogs, they always get a bigger name.
