Sounds like a Lane version of a Belsaw.
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

The Lane "sawyers favorite" is the name usally given to one of their special headblocks used on setbeam type mills. I think they used to sell what they call a tractor mill which was a light duty mill, that may or may not be powered with a tractor. Frank C.

Mick, I know little of that mill but do know Lane never made any junk, you'll just have to get a look at it. Frank C.

lane sawers favorite is screw dog underhook and taper all in one for a log beam carriage. chase also made them. it was a copy of the brown dog. the tractor sawmill is the smaller mill with an 8 foot or longer mandrel to keep the belt away from the men offbearing.
