Hi

I just ordered a pair of Sthil ADVANCE X-TREEm trousers as my old safety trousers were well used and I needed something lighter and more resistant to wear when "crawling" on the ground when milling with the Alaskan mill.

Any thoughts/experiences with these trousers?

oh an MS 362 also got on the same order

Cost was $320? Not bad considering the pants could save your life! Safety is worth the dollar in the long run...

Well the problem with as we call them Mr. and Mrs. Denmark aka people that use the chainsaw to cut a little firewood or just to have is that they don't want to pay for the safety gear. They don't understand what a chainsaw can do and the few bucks the save not buying the safety gear is nothing compared to the pay the miss if they get hit by the chainsaw.
I don't compromise with my safety and I want gear that are comfortable to wear and easy to use and I gladly pay the extra for that gear, just as I buy the prof. saw instead the cheap home depot.

I can't express S.A.F.E.T.Y enough. In that one moment of error it can change your life, your families life and those around you. When in fact it takes just a minute to slip a pair of chaps on, head/eye gear and hearing protection.

I was watching a youtube video the other afternoon where a lady was felling down a tree wearing a bikini and her husband in the background instructing her what to do. It was absolutely ridiculous! I cringed the entire time watching the video.

On the other hand here is a video to give you a visual of why you should always wear protection gear! It is not for the fainted heart! So get with it! Wear protection gear!
