Jake, you have a nice place.  You and your wife were gracious hosts.  In addition to all of the good eats and fine treatment, we all had the opportunity to learn from some who are very adept at their craft.  Why wouldn't folks want to come from all over the eastern half of the continent to hang out at your place, visit with folks with common interests, and enjoy good food and refreshments?

I wouldn't mind hosting but my place is much less impressive-neatness is not my strong suit and I doubt I know enough about sawing to teach many members much.

Can risk anyone getting dehydrated now, that wouldn't be good  ;)

Andries

Yeah - dehydration. That'd be a problem.
Best to have a get together up here - no high humidity and scorching temps to worry about!
Really, whose ready for that?

Best bring your long johns though. . . and an electric blanket for that keg.

We're only an eight hour drive North of Minneapolis, MN. but you can see why a trip to Jake's place is always a good idea.

Learned a ton and enjoyed the time. The graciousness of the hostess was over and above. Looking forward to the next one. But Jake, I want to know who is doing your marketing? I hear there is a retired forester not to far from you that could use a job for a percentage of sales. He even has a mill and a kiln....Dries sycamore and black walnut.
